On April 19, 2006, the Gila River Indian Community Council passed Resolution GR-53-06 to establish the Gila River Indian Community’s Tribal Constitution Reform Project (TCRP). A Task force was developed and representation from each of the seven Districts within the boundaries of the Gila River Indian Community and the Gila River Urban Member Association (an association made of enrolled GRIC members who reside in the Phoenix metropolitan area) was determined.
